MEC Day Seventeen: Not Even Going To Try

Radagast: I'll draw them off!
Gandalf: These are Gundabad Wargs. They will outrun you.
Radgast: These are Rhosgobel rabbits!  I'd like to see them try!!

I'm not even going to try to choose only one favorite for this day's challenge.  My excuse is that I have a headache and trying to choose only one favorite would worsen the headache.  Actually, do I even need an excuse?  :D

Instead, I shall attempt to choose only one favorite male character from each race.  *rubs forehead*  That will be hard enough.  :)

Aragorn- son of Arathorn, Estel, King Elessar Telcontar, Strider, Longshanks, Thorongil, Wingfoot, the Dunadan, Envinyatar.  And yes, I do believe that is all of his names.  :)

Eomer and Faramir tie for second place.

Frodo Baggins- son of Drogo, the Ringbearer, Elf-friend, adopted heir of Bilbo Baggins.

Sam and Bilbo are my second favorites.

Legolas Thranduilion- also called Greenleaf, Prince of Mirkwood,.

Elrond Halfeleven, Lord of Rivendell, is an extremely close second (the Elrond of the books, not of the movies).

Thorin Oakenshield- son of Thrain- son of Thror.

Gimli- son of Gloin, and Balin are very close seconds.  (This was actually the hardest choice, because I like all three of these almost evenly.)

Istari (Wizards)
Gandalf, most definitely.

Radagast is my second favorite.

  1. *facepalm* Why didn't I think to do this? One from each race! *sigh* I have to admit this, Melody, that as far as this challenge is concerned, you have surpassed me in smarticles. I love reading your posts.

    And that's that.

  2. Ok, Favorite Male Character. Since I was introduced to LOTR in March of this year I have been trying to figure out the answer to this question. So far I haven't succeeded. But since I have to answer the question I will go with...
Aragorn. He is absolutely, wonderfully, amazingly, fantastic. He can be joking, solemn, terrible(looking terrible to!), he is just absolutely amazing period. Here are some of my favorite pics of him.
    As Aragorn:
    As Strider:
    As King Elessar Telcontar:
And with his beautiful bride, Queen Arwen Evenstar:
And some of his best friends:
And one of the cutest pictures I have ever seen from a movie that I REALLY want to watch:
Aragorn shortly before he becomes Estel.
(In reply to Melody's post) Gandalf is amazing to and Radagast is absolutely hilarious. Your quote is one of my favorites from AUnJ.
