Princess Lillillil and Silivock

I'm back with another interview for Kendra's blog party!  The party is in full swing and she has some fun things going on, so hop over and check it out!!!

I was hoping to participate more, but a wrist injury has me temporarily sidelined.  I'm only allowed a necessary minimum of typing at the moment.  I'm hoping that in a couple days I'll be allowed more typing and be able to catch up with her party, blogging in general, emails and all that.

Today's story spotlight is:

Silivock
In the world of Silivock, two peoples live, the Alivocks and the Silions. For Alivocks, logic is law, for Silions, logic is only to be desired when it is illogical. Because of their differences, they have went their separate ways ... but when an Alivock teacher is captured by the Silions ...

I was privileged to interview Princess Lillillil herself.

Welcome Lillillil!

1. What is your favorite way to annoy Rikkard?
I don't try to annoy him (though it almost always seems to happen). I'm trying to get him to cheer up and not take everything so seriously. Honestly, my father isn't going to put him to death as has been threatened. And I've never done the same thing twice (on principle), so it's hard to pick out a favorite. Jumping off the cliff was fun ... if only because he caught me.

2. Do you like your capability to project and read emotions?
I've never really thought about it, it's just something I've always done, something all Silions have always done. Though not Alivocks, to the same degree at least ... I guess it does make sense, since they think so much. I remember the first time Rikkard thought at me - it was so weird because we weren't touching at all, but there was his thought in my head!

3. Do you have any brothers or just sisters?
I have sixteen brothers and twelve sisters. And I'm the youngest. And I don't have a twin. It's terribly frustrating.

4. What makes you so certain that Rikkard loves you?
Girls just know those sort of things. Especially Silion girls.

5. What is so special about the Theater Behind the Curtain that you wanted to live there?  (I'm wondering if it was anything like our former Garden of Eden?)
The ... oh, that's right! I mentioned it when I took over Kendra's blog that day. It's part of Kendra's Ooladada world, which she has since removed from my world system and placed in the Ankulen's. It's a theater that's behind a curtain, and you can go there to watch and play or movie that has ever been done.

No, it doesn't have anything to do with your Garden of Eden. Every Silion and Alivock has that day burned into our memories. Yes, your Garden. You see, when Ali and Sili, our Adam and Eve, fell, Yova gave them a vision showing them the fall of the Firstborn - you guys. That's why we're so fascinated with the idea of finding you, because through you we can eventually find our salvation.

That's intriguing.  I look forward to reading your book, Lillillil.  Thank you for stopping by!

Plenilune Release Date!

Exciting news!

Author Jennifer Freitag of The Penslayer has announced what day her newest novel Plenilune will be out!  Jennifer is the author of The Shadow Things, which I have not read yet, but which I hope to read soon.

The fate of Plenilune hangs on the election of the Overlord, for which Rupert de la Mare and his brother are the only contenders, but when Rupert’s unwilling bride-to-be uncovers his plot to murder his brother, the conflict explodes into civil war.

To assure the minds of the lord-electors of Plenilune that he has some capacity for humanity, Rupert de la Mare as been asked to woo and win a lady before he can become the Overlord, and he will do it—even if he has to kidnap her.

En route to Naples to catch a suitor, Margaret Coventry was not expecting a suitor to catch her.

Plenilune is planetary fantasy.  If you are wondering what that is, read Jenny's post.  There will be a cover release in the next few months, which I hope to participate in, so keep your eyes out for that.

Politics, murder, war, kidnapping... do you see now why I am looking forward to this book?!

Interview With Clara

It is is the second day of Kendra's Blog party and today's spotlighted story world is:

The Rizkaland Legends
Fantasy. Kids world travel and become kings and queens. It is more complicated than that, but there's the gist of it.

Book One:
Water Princess, Fire Prince
Two teenagers fall into the world of Rizkaland, and are made the Water Princess and Fire Prince, and are told that they are supposed to defeat a dragon. Should be easy.

My interviewee for today is the Water Princess herself, Clara.

Welcome to The Splendor Falls, Clara!

Have you ever accidentally hurt anyone who was trying to teach you fighting skills in Klarand?
Only on purpose.

What trait of Andrew's annoys you the most?
There are a lot of things about Andrew that are annoying, and it's hard to pin down a single item. Honestly, whoever picked him to be the Fire Prince wasn't paying attention.

What trait of yours would Andrew say annoys him the most?
That I'm so much better than him at everything.

What is your opinion of Lady Amber?
She is one crazy lady. But, hey, I guess living five thousand years can do that to a woman. There's a quote I see going around, don't know where it's from, but you either die a hero or live to see yourself become a villain. That's what happened to her. Still, she ain't getting any sympathy from me.

Are you looking forward to having your story published?
Honestly? No. Kendra is a nice (albeit crazy) girl and all that, but she is an indie author. She self-publishes! Which means that she's going to do the same for my book. I am scared. Very scared.

Tiger Lilly interview!

Today is the first day of my good friend Kendra Ardnek's blog party celebrating her five years of blogging and three years of being a published author.  Head on over to her BLOG to join in the fun!

http://knittedbygodsplan.blogspot.com/2014/06/party-announcement.html

I've read all of Kendra's published novels and most of her short stories (I haven't read her two newest short stories, though they are on my Kindle waiting for me) and I've also beta read several of her works.

Today's spotlighted story is Infiltration, set in the world of the Rowa.  Infiltration is easily one of my favorite Kendra books.  (Why do I call them Kendra books and not Ardnek books the way one would say Tolkien novels?  I have no idea....)  I read the first draft and am eager to see how much better the story will be in the rewrite.  I have the privilege of interviewing one of the main characters, Tiger Lilly.

Infiltration
Fantasy/Sci-fi. Tiger wants to get her Ring of Faith on her twenty-fourth birthday. Snap wants to be a successful Infiltrator. Both can't have their wish.

Welcome to The Splendor Falls, Tiger Lilly!

Will you describe what a Ring of Faith looks like?
A metallic band with a simple leaf pattern and a small jewel that changes color depending what you use it for.

And what does a Ring of Innocence look like?
Much the same, but without the leaf pattern.

Why were you envious of your friends who lived in the trees?
I am a tree elving and feel far at home in a tree, the ground far beneath my feet, but because my pa isn't, we live in a hole. It's not a desire that I obsess over, but like all tree elvings who live underground, I wish I lived in a tree. But at least my ma's apothecary is in a tree, and sometimes she lets me sleep there.

Can you tell us when your book might be published?
It's going to be a few years at least before it's ready. Partly because Kendra needs to decide how she wants to rewrite it, and partly because it's technically part of the Mikada Chronicles, and a later book at that. Also, it's something of a sequel to the Rizkaland Legends, so that will probably be published first as well.

I'm sorry if that's a bit of a disappointment to you - I know you're looking forward to my book, Miss Melody.

Thanks for stopping by, Tiger Lilly!  I am definitely looking forward to your book, whenever it is published.
